Details of the Oracle Cloud Redwood 25B Release Notes: What’s New

Oracle's 25B Redwood Updates for SCM Module

Inventory Management

  • Review pending transactions using the Redwood Inventory Transactions page. This unified page simplifies access to both pending and completed transactions and is available under Inventory tasks in the Inventory Management work area.
  • Allow your suppliers to review consumption advice in the Oracle Supplier Portal using a Redwood page.

Order Management

  • Now, you can revise an existing sales order to return an item or create a new sales order for the return. You can also return an item from another existing sales order.
  • You can now check item availability and schedule directly on the Sales Order Lines page.
  • You can now specify an Order Representative for each sales order. This person handles approvals and routing based on the employee hierarchy.

Manufacturing

  • You can now use the new Configured Items page to view and manage your configured items, update descriptions using generative AI, and handle exceptions during item creation.
  • After running the Process Item Structure Changes to Work Definitions process, you can view FYI notifications for unsynchronized structure changes in the Redwood style.

Maintenance

  • The Maintenance Supervision workbench scoreboard now features enhanced interaction with dashboard KPIs, two new metrics (Future and All), and a renamed metric—Open Work Orders is now labeled as Current.
  • The new Maintenance Management and Maintenance Execution landing pages provide a comprehensive view of all activities, highlight urgent work orders, and enable quick actions for additional tasks.

Procurement

Purchasing

  • You can now select lines from the search results to process requisition lines in your queue and perform the Stage action to create a new staged document.
  • The Stage action and staged documents are new in Redwood and have replaced the Add to Document Builder action and the document builder on the current Process Requisitions page.

Self Service Procurement

  • You can now search for items using our expanded search capabilities on the Enter Requisition Line page in the Redwood Self Service Procurement application.
  • Inventory items can be searched using attributes such as item number, item description, manufacturer, manufacturer part number, supplier part number, category, and GTIN.

Oracle's 25B Redwood Updates for HCM Module

Global Human Resources

  • You can now define the minute work and break durations in your enterprise shifts and work patterns in any number of minutes, instead of 15-minute increments, such as 25 minutes or 7h 15m. And workforce schedules can use these shifts and patterns, regardless of break rounding validations.
  • You can now record additional notes while making employment changes using Redwood Add Assignment and Local and Global Transfer processes.

Compensation

  • You can now save the Redwood Salary and Individual Compensation compact guided flow pages.
  • You can now exclude individual compensation plans and options using business rules. Previously, you could restrict access using plan access and eligibility settings.
  • You can now use the Geography Zone object and Import Management tool to create, update, and delete compensation zones.

Payroll

  • Logging is set up to help you investigate problems with a process that aren't easily identified in other ways.
  • You can extend the Payroll Activity Center pages using Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio). This feature lets you control which attributes and regions are displayed on the summary, milestone overview, and milestone details pages of the Payroll Activity Center.
  • The Person Results page has been moved to the Redwood toolkit, giving it the look and backend functionality of Redwood. With this new page, you can quickly view all the processes run for an employee.

Talent Management

Career Development

  • On a role guide detail page, you can now view the skills you need to be ready for a role and the skills you need to master the role.
  • You can now explore AI-suggested roles based on positions and view their details on the Explore tab of the Opportunity Marketplace application.

Performance Management

  • Access to the Feedback Center page now uses improved security privileges. The pages and regions in the Feedback Center are displayed based on the security privileges assigned to you.
  • As an HR user, you can now enable target proficiencies and performance ratings for Redwood performance documents.
