Details of the Oracle Financials Cloud 25B Release Notes: What’s New?

Payables

  • Payables ADFDI spreadsheets can be used to create invoices by incorporating Lists of Values in the tax and accounting columns, thereby improving the accuracy of tax and account information.
  • The Edit Invoice UI allows Payables users to edit supplier invoices based on POs, enabling them to view and modify ISP invoice details.

Receivables

  • Now, prepayment involves invoicing customers to collect partial or full payment in advance. When applied to a sales invoice, the original accounting and tax entries are reversed, reducing or settling the outstanding balance.
  • The Collections Dashboard now allows customers to send copies of open transactions and their updated versions to contacts, enhancing communication between the collection agent and the customer. The collector can resend the same copy if no updates are made or regenerate and send an updated version.

Assets

  • Assets can now be transferred between books within the same ledger. The system generates intercompany entries when needed and automatically transfers descriptive and depreciation details to ensure continuity and support audit requirements.

Lease Accounting

  • The approval history for lease activations, amendments, and terminations includes the submission date, transaction approvers, user details, and the dates of approval, rejection, or cancellation.
  • Lease Accounting allows the creation of approval rules using various criteria and lease attributes, including Legal Entity, Asset Type, Amendment Subtype, Business Unit, and Account Classification.

Technical Updates

  • Use Lists of Values for Tax and Accounting Attributes in the Payables ADFDI Spreadsheet to Improve Invoice Accuracy and Efficiency.
  • Disputes, adjustments, and other transaction activities related to prepayment invoices and sales invoices with prepayment lines must be performed manually, as these actions are not supported through SOAP or REST API services.
  • Use the Project Contract Invoices REST API to unrelease invoices in any order, allowing deletion if needed and preventing unwanted transfers to Receivables.
